This is quite an interesting interview for me personally. I learned a lot from talking to Phil. Such an amazing guy with an amazing poetic mind. We talked a lot about how important storytelling is when it comes to communications, about modern forms of media and what business should pay attention to in today’s economic environment. Is there a formula that fits all when it comes to marketing??
There are 3 parts to this episode.
Part 1 – From 0:00 to 0:19 – We talked about what is copywriting and how it can help businesses. Phil introduced us to his world of copywriting and a writer who has inspired his style. We also discussed how copywriting is still a major form of telling a story in modern time and how to save money when it comes to producing marketing/branding campaigns. Is there a formula that fits all when it comes to marketing?
Part 2 – From 0:19 to 0:36 – We talked about how to save 5x costs when it comes to business communications during business growth? What businesses need to prepare before looking for a copywriter and at what stage a business should think of professional copywriting. We also talked about how Covid-19 lockdowns affected businesses and what they learnt to stay thriving.
Part 3 – From 0:36 to the end – We talked about how businesses can improve their communications during the Covid-19 environment to stay on top of their game and grow. If a business has little to no communications plan, what should be their next step? How important is it to have a communications plan and other business plans? Phil also gave us his tips on how to stay on top of pressure and short-term unfocus. Finally, I asked Phil what trends on communications should business owners or comms professionals pay attention to in 2021.
