5 Things New Entrepreneurs Should Know But No One Talks About

Being an entrepreneur is exciting. You are your own boss, check! You work on your own time, check! You have the freedom of creativity, check! No need to worry about getting fired, check! However, there is another side of being an entrepreneur: The Dark Side! The one that no one talks about! Below are the 5 untold challenges that new entrepreneurs should know:

1, Fear of failure

Stress, lack of sleep and other factors can contribute to fear of failure, which makes them seem bigger. If entrepreneurs let fears overcome them, they may give up. So with good support systems, those feelings of self-doubt can be gotten past.

2, Next to zero break

The lack of time off is also another difficulty. This may lead to a lot of stress for not only entrepreneurs but also their families, which requires their partners work harder to fill in the gaps. Some family gatherings, birthdays, or sporting events get missed when schedules conflict, which makes their family feel ignored and unimportant.

3, Low Budget

Another problem entrepreneurs have to deal with is tight finances. After completing work for a customer and sending an invoice, they must wait for the payment. It is unusual for that delay to be at least 2 weeks and maybe longer, and some clients never pay at all. Instead of asking for that payment from customers, most entrepreneurs often work harder to make enough money to keep their bills paid. Without sacrifice, entrepreneurs can hardly get ahead and make the nice income.

4, Over Work

How working extremely hard is one of the difficulties entrepreneurs don’t talk about. Depending on workflow, volumes, and other influences, long days can last from 12 to 20 hours and even overnight. This may result in exhausted, worn thin and illnesses for entrepreneurs even when they are in good condition before starting their own business.

5, Short of knowledge & resources

Lack of knowledge is what entrepreneurs don’t usually talk about, however, should. They lack the skills to set up their own website or do their own marketing. Although an alternative solution is hiring professionals, some don’t have enough fund to do that.

Therefore, another solution for those who have low budgets is learning by themselves. Regrettably, this might also a different reason of entrepreneurs’ long working hours.
